Public recipes and GitHub gists

Share recipes with friends, colleagues, and the world.

We'd like to start by giving a brief update on Commando.io. Since our public beta launch in November we now have thousands of accounts created in over 80 different countries. The reception has been fantastic, and we truly appreciate all the support and feedback. Today, we are excited to bring you public recipes and GitHub gist integration.

Public recipes allow you to share recipes with friends, colleagues, and the world. When you make a recipe public, a short url at public.recipes is created. Go ahead and kick the wheels a bit, here is an example public recipe https://public.recipes/JHdgXs. Stay tuned though, this is just the start. Commenting, upvoting, searching, and additional social features are coming soon.

Lastly, we added integration with GitHub gists when creating recipes. You may now quickly import a GitHub gist as the recipe body which is convenient and a nice time saver.
